Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 13, 2026
AskCredo.ai ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website at askcredo.ai and the AskCredo mobile application. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it.
- Theological questions you type — sent to our cloud functions to generate answers. Questions may be stored in Firestore to power shared Q&A pages and to improve the service.
- Account email address — if you sign in via Firebase Authentication (optional).
- IP address — logged briefly by Google Cloud Functions for rate-limiting and abuse prevention; not stored long-term.
- Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics on your device when you visit the site (see Section 3). Requires your consent in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and California.
- To generate and display AI theological responses.
- To publish anonymised shared Q&A pages (e.g. askcredo.ai/q/…) for organic discovery.
- To measure site traffic and improve the product (Google Analytics 4).
AskCredo does not currently display third-party advertising on the website or in the mobile app. Pro subscribers fund the free tier directly.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may set cookies or collect data on our behalf:
- Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID
G-NR6V4BFF33) — collects anonymised usage data (page views, session duration). Google Privacy Policy
- Google Programmable Search Engine — the "Read free online" button opens a Google-hosted search page (
cse.google.com). Google's own privacy policy governs that page.
- Firebase Analytics — anonymous in-app event tracking on mobile only.
- Firebase Crashlytics — collects crash reports and non-fatal error logs from the mobile app to help us diagnose and fix stability issues. No personally identifiable information is included in crash reports.
- Firebase Performance Monitoring — measures app startup time and network request latency to help us improve app speed. Data is aggregated and not linked to individual users.
- Firebase Authentication — handles sign-in if you choose to create an account. Stores your email address.
- Google Cloud Firestore — stores saved questions and shared Q&A data.
